March was packed with creativity, curiosity, and outdoor adventure for our Cub Scouts! Each den had the opportunity to explore new skills and work together through hands-on activities and exciting challenges.
Our Lions tackled Build It Up, Knock It Down, where they explored building, problem-solving, and teamwork through fun engineering-style activities. The Tigers embraced curiosity as they investigated the world around them, asked questions, and discovered new ways to learn together. Scouts also showed off their creativity during Art Explosion, using imagination and artistic skills to create unique masterpieces.
The highlight of the month was our unforgettable Family Campout at Lake Somerville! Families gathered for a weekend full of adventure, learning, and time outdoors. Scouts practiced important camping skills like tying knots, reading maps, and learning the “3-pot wash” method used for cleaning dishes at campouts. They put their navigation skills to the test during a scavenger hunt that required teamwork and careful map reading to complete.
To top it all off, the weather could not have been better. Scouts and families enjoyed the beautiful golden-hour views by the lake, relaxing together, fishing, and making memories that will last long after campfire smoke faded away.
